Research

I have over a decade of social science research experience utilising both qualitative and quantitative research methods. My aim is to take the stress of research off your hands and deliver a piece of high-quality research that is easily understood and usable for you and your target audience.

Economic Abuse and Banking

I have over three years’ experience of working closely with major UK retail and commercial banks. I can assist you to implement the Financial Abuse Code’s principles and provide the best customer and colleague support available for those who have experienced domestic abuse and financial abuse.

Through my work with financial institutions, I have developed an expertise in banking products, processes and procedures for vulnerable customers. I have also produced award-winning research on financial abuse for the Royal Bank of Scotland through a collaborative research placement with the Scottish Graduate School of Social Science.

What I can do for your institution:

  • Provide economic abuse training specifically tailored to different departments within your institutions i.e. fraud, mortgages, insurance, legal, and business banking.

  • Raise awareness of your responsibilities under the UK Finance Financial Abuse Code of Practice and Financial Conduct Authority Vulnerable Customer Guidance.

  • Help you develop your customer vulnerability strategy.

  • Assist with customer cases relating to economic and other forms of domestic abuse.

  • Advise on the development of banking procedures, products and terms and conditions.

  • Provide expert advice on domestic abuse and signposting to relevant support organisations.
